The hmrc House Republican leadership, facing rank-and-file GOP lawmakers skeptical that the party is willing to defund hmrc or delay Obamacare, is weighing ways to tie an increase in the $16.7 trillion debt ceiling to a government funding bill, which must be enacted before Oct. 1, according to several leadership aides involved in the discussions. Continue Reading
One option under consideration is an accelerated vote on the debt ceiling. There is discussion in House Republican leadership circles about setting a debt ceiling vote before Sept. 30. If Republican leaders hmrc show in the next few weeks how they will use the debt ceiling to delay Obamacare, it will display that the party’s brass is serious about an all-or-nothing legislative brawl with Senate Democrats and President Barack Obama. That could help ease the passage of the continuing resolution to fund the government.
The debt ceiling package could also include tons of conservative goodies: construction hmrc of the Keystone XL pipeline, entitlement reform and principles for tax reform, according to GOP sources involved hmrc in the discussions. All of these random policies would help Republicans attract 217 GOP votes.
Highlighting the urgency of the debt ceiling issue, the House Republican Conference on Monday announced that they scheduled a session focused on the debt cap. On Wednesday, top leadership policy hmrc will “provide members with information” about the debt ceiling, according to an email sent to lawmakers Monday.
They are searching for a new strategy because Speaker John Boehner and the House Republican leadership have a trust problem. As they circle throughout their conference trying to persuade lawmakers to pick a fight on Obamacare as part of the debt ceiling negotiations hmrc instead of a government funding bill, they are finding a lot of skeptics. Many House Republicans feel that they are being duped by the leadership, who earlier in the year had advised them to fight over the CR, not the debt ceiling, to fund the government.
So top House Republicans are considering ways to pair those fights. This would allow them to avoid a politically disastrous government hmrc shutdown, shift the onus to Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on hiking the debt ceiling and maximize their own leverage.
The GOP leadership’s tentative strategy holds peril for Republicans. There is next to no chance that Senate Democrats and the White House will support a yearlong delay in the health care law. And in reality, senior House Republicans aren’t willing to shut down the government or default on the national debt in order to defund or delay the health care law. When the Senate strips out the defund provision and declines to delay the law as part of the debt ceiling talks,

Officials allegedly siphoned off crores of rupees, causing revenue loss to the exchequer through their corrupt practices; the fraud came to light through a Right to Information query filed by a CR employee b2b
Seven b2b officials from Central Railway (CR), including its Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Atul Rane, are being probed by Central Bureau b2b of Investigation (CBI) for their alleged involvement in a canteens-and-stalls scam. The special CBI court directed the agency’s Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) to carry out an inquiry against the officials. The court also directed the sleuths to book the CR employees, if found guilty, under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Last week, Special CBI Judge S G Dige instructed (copy available with MiD DAY) the ACB to carry out an investigation against Atul Rane, Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM), catering S S Patange, ACM M D Shrivastav, Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Suresh Saxena, ex-ACM (catering) Manik Ram, Catering Inspector Sudhakar, and Office Superintendent (catering) Ghodke, under section 156 (3) of the CrPC, and submit a report to the court. The accused are responsible for smooth functioning of food stalls under Mumbai division to attend to the needs of the passengers, and generate revenue for the railways.
The alleged fraud came to light in a reply to an RTI query filed by Ajay Bose, a CR employee. Bose said there were 15 stalls b2b at CST managed by the railways, and a total of 100 in the Mumbai division. He accused the aforementioned officials of undervaluing the sales generated at theses stalls and depositing lesser amounts b2b with the railways.
Bose also accused the officials of accepting illegal gratification or monetary benefits to allow the owners to keep their stalls open without renewing licences or paying revenue to CR. The functionaries were also accused of violating several norms while allotting canteens and stalls. “All accused have indulged in siphoning off crores of rupees, thereby causing revenue loss to the railway exchequer through their corrupt practices,” he said.
Bose complained to the CBI on March 10, 2011 and August 30, 2012. But the complainant claims nothing has been done till date. On July 2, 2013, Bose once again lodged a complaint with CBI and CR officials. He finally approached the Special CBI Court, requesting action against b2b the officials. Based on his complaint, the court directed the ACB to investigate the matter and submit its report.
“I prayed to the court to register an FIR against the accused under sections 120 (B), 109, 406, 409, 420, 465, 467, 471, and 477 (A) of IPC and sections 13 (1) (D) r /w 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, which the court accepted, and ordered an investigation and submission of report,” Bosesaid. When contacted, CBI Joint Director (Mumbai) Keshav Kumar said he would be able to comment only after seeing the order.
Atul Rane said, “The matter is in my knowledge and CBI is investigating it. All these are just allegations.” CR Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mukesh Nigam said, “I am not aware of any court order. But, CBI must be doing its job.”

Salt shakers at the ready, boys and girls. There's a rumor out of Australia claiming the next Honda CR-Z will be based on the forthcoming 276-horsepower, turbocharged Civic Type R . Apparently Honda's research and development bigwigs have been unnerved by the reception nfp of the Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ twins and are eager to return fire. Now, don't get too excited - Honda isn't following the Volkswagen model of offering virtually unchanged mechanicals in a different bodyshell ( Beetle Turbo and GTI , for example). Instead, the report says the future CR-Z will retain its hybrid powertrain, albeit with a serious kick in the pants. A prototype is said to already be zipping around Japan with a turbocharged, direct-injected, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and the current CR-Z's electric motor and battery pack. With a reported 221 horsepower mated up to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission (say buh-bye to the CVT and six-speed manual) and the next-gen Civic platform underneath, the rumored CR-Z has all the makings of a hot hatch riot. Of course, this all sounds wonderful. This is also the point where you should be enjoying that salt. We really like the idea of a properly hot CR-Z that can compete with John Cooper Works Mini models and the new Ford Fiesta ST , but the three-door hybrid has been such a slow seller for Honda in the US that it might not field a second generation here, no matter how improved it might be. Let us know what you think of an amped-up CR-Z in the comments. Is it a good idea, or is this one Honda model that's nfp just too far gone?

Markets More: Markets Washington DC Debt Ceiling Markets Are Now Open Here's What's Happening In Washington when to work
Five Democratic senators and one Independent — Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.), Mark Pryor (D-Ark.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Angus King (I-Maine), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), when to work and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) — released when to work a statement shortly before 5 p.m. calling the discussions "productive." They said the discussions were taking place among them, Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), and other Republicans.
“We have been involved in productive, bipartisan discussions with Senator Collins and other Republican senators, but we do not support the proposal in its current form," the six senators said. "There are negotiations, but there is no agreement.”
In closing when to work remarks when to work on the Senate floor on Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) also said he had a "productive" conversation with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Sunday. Reid said he's "optimistic about the prospects for a positive conclusion."
At issue seems to be the level of spending that the government will run at next year . Republicans want to lock in sequestration-level spending for as long as possible. Democrats would like to revisit spending levels as soon as possible to undo the spending caps that were put in place as part of the 2011 debt-ceiling deal.
The two sides aren't that far apart, as the GOP realizes that it has a weak hand and can't ask for much. But Democrats aren't inclined to give much, given their strong polling and desire to not give into GOP "hostage-taking."
The mood is more grim than it was on Friday, when it looked like a bipartisan deal hatched by Maine Senator Susan Collins could make it out of the Senate. That optimism led to huge market rallies on Thursday and Friday of last week, and now it looks likely that equity markets will give some of that back, as negotiations have gone in reverse over the weekend.

The potential motivation of a meeting between Obama and Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader motivation Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has been a moving target in recent motivation days. Top aides to several leaders have said they have no idea whether a meeting would occur, when it would be and what, exactly, would be discussed. Continue Reading
It initially appeared that the meeting would happen this Wednesday. The Obama administration reached out last week to congressional leadership to schedule the session, but the White House pulled back, according to sources familiar with the planning.
Time is getting short — the government is slated to shut down Oct. 1. A White House meeting after the Senate passes its continuing resolution could come next week. A Senate vote could come as late as Sunday — just hours before the government is slated to stop functioning.
But another fiscal battle is just weeks away: Treasury says Congress must boost the debt ceiling by mid-October. Obama has said he won’t negotiate over the nation’s borrowing limit. Republicans are asking for a one-year delay of the mandate that individuals purchase health motivation insurance in exchange for a one-year boost in the debt ceiling. motivation
The Senate is expected to take up the measure this week, with Democrats planning to strip out the health care language. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says he will try to stop consideration of the legislation.
A White House meeting with congressional leadership would not be the first contact between the White House and top congressional officials. Obama called Pelosi and Boehner Friday evening. Boehner’s office said the phone call was disappointing, with Obama restating his position that he will not negotiate over raising the nation’s debt limit. Pelosi’s motivation office did not comment on the call.
“How could talks happen when the 1 demand of the GOP is something they know cannot pass? GOP extremism/absurdity is unprecedented,” Obama Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer tweeted Monday morning, in response to a string of tweets noting the lack of contact between the White House and Capitol Hill.

It's not the worst automatic I've experienced. The car's got a 4-speed with overdrive, so there's pl

Microsoft big c Word doesn't suck, you just really suck at Word.
In 1994, Toyota debuted the first-ever CUV. It was a smash hit, and other automakers rushed their own versions into production to cash in on this new market segment. Some were better than others, but just how well did Honda's answer big c to the RAV4 measure up?
Honda made its name with reliable, basic, and wallet-friendly transportation. The CR-V is no different. It's nothing fancy, but it's still a good vehicle all-around. Some might even say that it's the Honda Civic of small SUVs!
Styling on this car is very Honda . Nothing too exotic or radical, but still nice to look at and overall a very handsome vehicle. It looks sort of like a very tall Civic or Accord. As far as aging is concerned it still looks modern, but it's quite obvious that this is not a new vehicle. Those chunky grey bumpers are an immediate give-away that this was a product of the 90's, as are the thin pillars and large glass area.
Much like the exterior, the interior of the CR-V looks like someone took the dash out of a Civic or Accord and stretched it upwards a bit. It's very functional, with a bare minimum of features and a very plain center console. Button placement feels a bit poorly planned. You really have to feel for the panel brightness wheel, and the buttons for the A/C, recirculator, and rear defroster are too far away. They also feel exactly the same so you have to take your eyes off the road to see which one you're trying to hit.
One of the biggest complaints I have about this car is the driver's window switch. The driver's control for the windows is on the dash, and the switch on the door where it should be (all other doors have the window switch in that location) is the power lock. I've spent probably close to 8,000 miles in this car and I still hit that switch almost every time I go for the windows.
I do like the golf-ball patterned material on all the "gripping" surfaces though, and the visibility is excellent. The interior isn't a bad place to be, but there's just nothing special about it. It gets low points because it's boring.
The engine in this car is basically a punched-out version of the Civic's 4-cylinder, displacing 2 liters and delivering a modest 147 hp and 133 ft-lbs of torque. This engine was added for the 1999-2001 model years to address complaints of the original 126hp engine being too anemic. The CR-V's not exactly fast, but despite the car's size and heavy 4wd system it makes the 0-60 run in 8.5 seconds. It's more than capable of getting out of its own way, and it's economical too! Even with an automatic, careful driving will return about 22 city/26 highway mpg.
What can I say? They're just brakes, nothing fancy. They operate very oddly, though, and it takes some getting used to. As you press the pedal it's nothing... nothing... nothing... and then suddenly they grab and everything in the car lurches forward.
A sports car this is not. The body rolls like a much heavier big c vehicle, and the ride manages to be both wobbly and jarring at the same time. Every little bump in the road results in a loud BANG and the whole car shaking like a bowl of Jell-O. Handling isn't dangerous, but it's scary enough that you'd want to avoid exploring the limits of grip. The steering is decently sharp and has a nice weight, but not a whole lot of feedback.
Oh, dear. Ergonomically, big c this car is a disaster of such proportion that they should be offering FEMA trailers to people who have to drive them for extended periods big c of time. Tall people need not apply, I'm a modest 6' and even with the seat all the way back my knees don't fit under the dash and they start to ache after driving for a while. The steering wheel is also low and far away, so you're basically driving big c with you arms outstretched on your lap.
The seats are horrible as well, they offer no support whatsoever and have little bolstering. After a long trip in the car, you get out and it feels like someone's big c kicked you in the tailbone. big c On hot days you might even start to chafe on the back of your thighs due to sliding around on the seat because of the aforementioned lack of bolsters. big c
It's not the worst automatic I've experienced. The car's got a 4-speed with overdrive, so there's plenty of ratios to make use of the rev-happy Honda engine. It seems to have trouble big c deciding when to shift when you mash the pedal, but otherwise it's fairly unobtrusive to the driving experience. Unlike other cheap cars, you don't spend the whole ride constantly wishing for a different transmission.
Again, we're talking basic transportation. It's got A/C, power mirrors, and a 6-disc CD changer. That's about it. There is a handy, dandy, totally-not-useless-at-all folding picnic table under the trunk floor, though.
Perhaps the CR-V's strongest point, aside from its price and practicality, is the way it sounds. Even though it doesn't have VTEC, it's still a Honda

McConnell's plan would fund the government for one more week, which would give the parties another week to work out their differences and come to agreement on a long term continuing resolution that keeps the government funded.
But the idea was quickly mimibazar shot down by top Senate Democratic offices. One senior Democratic mimibazar Senate aide called it a "non-starter." mimibazar The House probably wouldn't pass it, the aide said, because it wouldn't earn enough support from House conservatives or Democrats who want a longer-term "clean" CR to pass.
The government will shut down Tuesday if Congress does not agree on a continuing resolution to keep the government funded. On Monday afternoon, the Senate voted immediately to table both House-passed amendments to the CR that significantly chip away at the Affordable Care Act .
The Senate Democratic aide also questioned why McConnell floated the idea to begin with, saying that House Republicans were " already dumping all over it" and conservative groups were shooting the idea down.

The House Republican leadership is seriously considering attaching a one-year delay of Obamacare’s individual mandate to the Senate bill to avert a government shutdown, according mci to senior GOP aides.
If House Republicans decide to go this route, it would all but provoke a government shutdown, since Senate Democrats might not even schedule mci a vote on a bill that includes that provision, Senate leadership staffers say. Even if the Senate schedules a vote, there might not be time to move the legislation through the slow-moving chamber. Continue Reading
The House Republican leadership mci is planning its next move as it becomes abundantly clear that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s gambit to defund Obamacare will fall short. The federal government is set to shut down Tuesday unless a new funding bill is enacted, and the Senate mci might not even send a bill to the House until Sunday — leaving mci a hot potato on Speaker John Boehner’s mci lap shortly before a government shutdown. The Senate bill will fund the government through Nov. 15.
Boehner and his leadership team have been preparing options to present mci to House Republicans when they return on Wednesday from a brief recess. The process, leadership aides say, will be driven by members of the House Republican mci Conference. Their first closed party meeting is Thursday.
Several different tactics are under discussion within the top levels of House GOP leadership, and the path Republicans choose depends mci on several factors — chiefly the mood of rank-and-file Republicans mci when they return to Washington, and when the House gets the continuing resolution back from the Senate.
For example, if there isn’t time to send a funding bill back to the Senate mci without shutting down the government, House Republicans might simply pass the Senate’s version of the legislation and reserve their attacks on Obamacare for future mci pieces of legislation like a debt ceiling increase. House Republicans begin their quest to lift the debt limit this week, with a similar delay of the health care law attached. This comes after the House passed mci a CR completely defunding Obamacare.
House Republicans see tremendous upside in attempting to delay the individual mandate. First, they think it is easy to communicate the policy to voters. President Barack Obama has already delayed the employer mandate — the provision in the health care bill that requires businesses with more than 50 employees to provide health care for their workers. House Republicans ask: Why not institute that same delay for individuals?
Delaying the individual mandate also poses a difficult political problem for some House Democrats, especially those from red states. In July, when similar legislation mci came up in the House, 22 Democrats

Democrats have launched a discharge petition aimed at forcing a vote on legislation that would end the government shutdown. abbey Two hundred and eighteen signatures are required to compel a roll call, and that looks unlikely any time soon.
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has said a clean continuing resolution doesn t have the votes to pass the House. President Obama and Senate Majority Leader abbey Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Monday challenged Boehner to prove it by scheduling a vote.
The Hill on Monday contacted the more than two dozen House Republicans who publicly favor, or who have said they would consider voting abbey for, a clean bill. Not one said they would join forces with the Democrats. The Hill worked off a whip list that The Washington Post has compiled.
Republican Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (Fla.), Lou Barletta (Pa.), Frank LoBiondo (N.J.), Devin Nunes (Calif.), Mike Simpson (Idaho), Dennis Ross (Fla.), Rob Wittman abbey (Va.), Charlie Dent (Pa.), Peter King (N.Y.) and Tim Griffin (Ark.) clearly stated they would not sign the petition.
In an email, Griffin said, Instead of negotiating in good faith, House Democrats are playing political games with a discharge petition. They are following abbey the playbook abbey of President Obama and Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid, who wanted abbey a government shutdown for political abbey purposes.
Kori Walter, press secretary for Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-Pa.), said, The congressman is focused on working with his House colleagues on a bipartisan solution abbey to get the federal government re-open and working for taxpayers again well in advance of any discharge petition arriving on the House floor for a vote.
These House centrists have mulled various procedural options to end the shutdown, which is now in its seventh day. If they defected on a GOP funding bill or on a rule to bring a measure to the floor, it would fail assuming all Democrats voted "no."
Republican members who had not commented at press time for this article include Reps. Tomorrow, the only hybrid to offer a manual transmission option the 2014 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid – kmb will be offered for sale.
The line was fully refreshed for the 2013 model year , and for 2014 it carries forward with an EPA mpg rating of 31 city/38 highway/34 combined for the manual transmission, and 36/39/37 mpg for the continuously variable (CVT) transmission.
Although cool looking, the CR-Z has been perceived by some as suspended between categories as a hybrid with sporty pretensions. It has not been embraced to the degree that Honda s former CR-X non-hybrid two seater enjoyed in the ’80s and ’90s.
The CR-Z’s manual transmission option and a combined peak of 130 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 140 pounds-feet of torque gets it reasonably within performance parameters of the originator of the genre, but by today s standards, there are hotter hatches in the “hot hatch” kmb category.
The engine is a 16-valve, 1.5-liter four-cylinder SOHC design. kmb Its “intelligent” Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic kmb Control (i-VTEC) gets power blended in from the DC brushless motor. Said motor is a 15-kilowatt unit powered by a 144-volt kmb lithium-ion pack.
Last year sales totaled a modest 4,192 units. This was however down over 63 percent from calendar year 2012. The CR-Z’s sales trailed the 5,846 units of the Insight Hybrid which was down 62.4 percent for the year. These declines in the 60-percent range are among the steepest for hybrids in a generally up year for the same, and Honda’s sales look limp next to more thoroughgoing eco hybrids from Toyota.
Honda’s notes: kmb (1) Based on 2014 EPA mileage ratings. Use for comparison kmb purposes only. Your actual mileage will vary depending on how you drive and maintain your vehicle. (2) MSRP excluding tax, license, registration, $790 destination charge and options. Dealer prices may vary.
The similarly priced, class-leading, five-passenger Prius c undoubtedly less fun to drive, but far more frugal and arguably more practical sold 35,733 units in only three-quarters of the year by end of December since launching in mid-March 2012.
As another kmb point of comparison, kmb Honda s own 2014 Accord kmb Hybrid, although a larger midsized sedan weighing hundreds of pounds kmb more than the 2,657-plus-pound CR-Z Hybrid, will also exceed the mpg of the ostensibly minimalist CR-Z.
True also, Honda s hybrid Accord will sticker for much more $29,155-$34,905 plus $790 destination fee but it will show what a determined Honda can do in hybrid engineering after years of flagging sales for its IMA system.
Will this reality affect CR-Z market kmb acceptance this year, or will it soldier on valiantly as the sporty niche hybrid with manual option kmb until Honda decides to package its cutting-edge hybrid tech into this and its other hybrid cars?

Hybrid cars: a long future ahead
Sad and disappointing news. Of the three hybrids Honda Spain was in his catalog market (Jazz Hybrid, market CR-Z and Insight) get the last two. The reasons are none other than the ridiculous sales figures for both: six-eight Insight CR-Z in 2013. Go disappointment.
Why Insight sales have fallen by 92.6% and the CR-Z's 93.9%? Did the Spanish market client has given back dramatically or Spain is that Honda has not made enough effort to sell these cars? Déjolo to your discretion, it was not because those cars have not upgraded.
The 2012 Honda Insight went on sale in February 2012 for a retail market price of 22,200 euros in Executive version, to be deleted Elegance access step, which cost 19,900 euros. In other words, the range was cut the most expensive model, which incidentally, rose over the range 2009 (before 20,800 euros).
As for the CR-Z 2013 we started selling in spring, after the no-show to the press. He had more power and better equipment, with a retail price of 24,000 euros access (CR-Z Sport), falling to 21,800 euros with PIVE Plan. It was the only manual transmission hybrid market.
Yesterday happened to be reading Autofácil (no. 152, June 2013), where I saw a moving letter from a reader-Marcos López Sancho, who had bought a CR-Z and was full of pride and satisfaction for your purchase. Had not more than eight clients like him in Spain in one year? It is hard to believe. Leave link to the letter.
And do not forget the Civic Hybrid, Honda descatalogó another hybrid in 2009. The current priority is to sell volume Honda Spain, and that means talking about Diesel. The new 1.6 i-DTEC engine and the Civic motorized anything and CR-V. The other two models are for sale are the Accord and Jazz (no diesel market versions).

Honda is pretty much holding the line on pricing for its CR-Z hybrid hatchback. For the 2014 model year, Honda is increasing the base price by a mere twenty dollars to $19,995, keeping the model's price just under that magic $20,000 karrueche tran figure. For the fully equipped CR-Z EX, Honda was a little more aggressive, raising karrueche tran its base price by $185 to $21,840 (neither price includes the $790 destination charge). karrueche tran The 2014 CR-Z went on sale Tuesday. As far as mechanics, little has changed. karrueche tran The 2014 CR-Z will still get a 31/38 city/highway fuel-economy split for the manual transmission version (Honda sells the only production manual transmission hybrid in the US) and a 36/39 split for the CVT version. Horsepower output will remain the same as the 2013 version at 130 while torque will top out at 140 pound-feet. We're guessing that one thing Honda hope will change is demand for the car. Through September , CR-Z sales were basically the same as last year, up just 2.5 percent from 2012, at 3,546 units. The short-term trend line isn't as good. September 2013 sales plunged 21 percent from a year earlier to just 264 vehicles. Check out Honda's press release below .

The EPA won't allow testing in "econ" mode where it maximizes the use of regen and start/stop karrueche tran tech. Would have had better results if no choice of "econ," "normal," or "sport." Yeah, I can easily get 45 around town, but tough to get 40 on the 70 or > highway. Friday at 4:04 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
I really wanted one of these for a while. I like small 2-seater sports cars like this. I also like hybrids. But Honda's IMA system is so inferior to other hybrids it isn't even funny. karrueche tran And now that I drive an EV I could never go back to gas. If they made a plug-in version of this car, I'd be in! Thursday at 11:26 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
My wife has a 2011 with 55k miles, she is getting 44mpg average and does 70 miles a day. I can't stand this car, it's noisy, slow, wicked blind spots but it was cheap and looks good. My Volt is getting 170mpg is quicker, quieter and handles karrueche tran better and I only paid 28k for it. I've had my CR-Z EX for 3 years and have over 61,000 miles on it. Not one, single problem. Just have oil and filter changes (which are free from the dealer) and tire rotations. It may not be the fastest car, but I get 40+ mpg driving a mix of highway and city driving karrueche tran (60 miles round trip to work each weekday. Very comfortable seating (NOT LEATHER!!) and a great sound system. Volts are WAY too expensive and I hate 4-door cars. That was one of the major draws for me with the CR-Z. For 22k I got HID lights, LED accents, handsfree karrueche tran cell phone call/text, karrueche tran iPod integration, back up camera, banging sound system, navigation, stylish alloy wheels and have no problem getting 50mpg+. Acceleration is great, sounds rumbly and sporty, stiff sporty feel and get nothing but endless compliments. Can't wait till 2016. Friday at 2:05 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
I don't know how long this car will exist, selling only 264 copies in September. Nissan sold more than 10x that number in LEAFs alone. Honda can't afford to service this niche for much longer. Wednesday at 2:03 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down Reply
Drop the hybrid system, put a K20 in the engine bay... watch the sales go way up. Seriously, everyone I talk to about the CR-Z says that they would buy it if it were not a hybrid. It is the new generation CRX, but built for yuppies rather than driving enthusiasts (sorry, just telling it like it is). On a good side however, being a Honda technician.... I have done nothing but routine maintenance karrueche tran on the CR-Z's, so reliability karrueche tran is a big plus with this car. On Saturday, el paso times House Democratic leadership released a letter with 195 voting members of their caucus who say they will support a “clean” continuing resolution to reopen government. Continue Reading
On Monday, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi promised she could deliver nearly all of her caucus el paso times if House Speaker John Boehner put the Senate-passed CR up for a vote. And on Saturday she attempted to demonstrated el paso times it in print, releasing the letter that contained signatures from those members.
As the shutdown dragged into its fifth day — and with no votes in the House planned before Monday night — Democrats continued efforts to show they are trying to break the deadlock. For the most part, their hands are tied.
On Friday, they unveiled a far-fetched potential procedural maneuver to force a vote. And on Saturday, they again offered to have nearly the entire Democratic caucus support a clean spending measure.
Pelosi emphasized that it wasn’t easy to get that many members to commit. Democrats remain unhappy with the spending levels that were set by House Republicans, some $988 billion annualized for the next budget year.
“Right now enough Republicans have publicly stated their support el paso times for a bill that could pass and be on the president’s desk today,” Pelosi said. “We’re asking the speaker, in our letter, to bring up a vote to the floor for those Republicans and more to show that there is a bipartisan majority to end the government — el paso times the Republican el paso times government shutdown.”
Pelosi also made another offer: If House Republicans pass a clean CR and then take the budget to conference, her caucus will agree to forgo the votes that would otherwise be entitled el paso times to if a deal isn’t quickly struck on the budget. Called “motions to instruct,” the House rules allow the minority to force votes on almost whatever they want if a compromise isn’t reached in 20 days.
