Can a cluster contribute expertise and to resolve staffing challenges of contractors? We have been fortunate enough location to be allowed to work with NCE Subsea and their member companies. Through the cluster and contracting location firms experience and expertise we have gained deep insights into an exciting topic that has been little researched earlier.
We wrote our thesis on 'Staffing Challenges and competence needs related to human resources of contractors' Administration. location Here we took, among other things for us questions about a cluster can contribute expertise and to resolve staffing challenges of contractors.
Through in-depth interviews with leaders in the contractors did some interesting findings. The people we talked to emphasize that the cluster has been a good supporter, has acted as facilitator and has contributed both financial support location and counseling. Meanwhile also works cluster as an arena for sharing experience and expertise, where there is also the opportunity to expand their own networks.
A peculiar effect of the cluster is that through a partnership with academia also increases access to qualified expertise in the long term. The cluster does not work as a direct source of recruitment, but can help to strengthen the companies' ability to recruit qualified expertise. location
