Dahil sa bagong PRC resolution No. 2013-774 ( guidelines for Continuing Professional Education aka CPE points for renewal of license ), nagkaroon din ng kaunting pagbabago sa ating CPD/ CPE matrix na kailangan para makakuha ng Certificate of Good Standing mula sa IECEP.
2. Sa Master’s degree (whether related sa ECE/ECT or hindi e.g. MBA or Bachelor of Laws), 20 CU (20 CPE units) na lamang ang katumbas kapag natapos mo ito kumpara sa 30 units mula sa old matrix.
4. Yung AUTHORSHIP sa old matrix ay naka-integrate na sa SELF-DIRECTED AND/OR LIFELONG LEARNING. Matatandaang nakalagay sa Section 20 ng PRC Resolution 2013-774 donedeal na 15 units sa SELF-DIRECTED AND/OR LIFELONG LEARNING ang maximum na pwedeng ma-credit.

I think they are granted. I have heard from other colleagues that any kind of professional training related to ece or even not related e.g. project management and soft skills are accepted by the CPE council. Just attach the softcopy of the certification along with other needed documents for self-accreditation then send to IECEP CPE email address iecep.cpe@gmail.com . Also, if you have a certificate donedeal of CISCO training for example you have trained in RIVAN, just attach it also. You may also contact iecep secretariat for further donedeal information thru their email address or phone.
First, why they only allotted 15 CPE points for online training/soft skills? For an OFW who has no capacity to travel cannot gaint 45 CEP units. The proponents can say we have a chapter in your country, donedeal did they consider that OFW’s have binding contracts and are required to work during specified working hours? Did the proponents studied the feasibility of the locations in this countries if accessible or not or how much would it cost just to get there? This “profiteering” organization does not fully understand the 1987 Constitution and try to create policies that are unconstitutional in nature. We are not against the learning and development, but before implementing a policy from RA9292 study first the mitigating factors that affect this.
The matrix for self learning shall have full credit in any other way, the engineer shall not be forced to go thru various methods or accreditation just to accumulate, do not limit the allowable CPE, when we studied the course or went to training the equivalent CPE and its excess shall be creditable, after all the knowledge is there it does not go away.
Reading thru this blog, I can see that CPE is cumulative every three years, meaning if you missed the first 3 years you need at least 90 CPE points the next 3 year period. Did anybody understand clearly RA9292? or the 1987 constitution itself? I would be happy if the statements here are wrong. First you were not able to get your license then you are indebted with incremental CPE points?
For the local based Engineers, do you think all of them earn a decent amount, we barely survive and earn an income working locally, even some of us need to accept day jobs or unrelated jobs just to survive.
How much do I need to prepare at least 30k just to attend 2 conventions if the location is Boracay or if I am coming from the provinces, or if I am coming from overseas? How much time do we have to spend with our families? only 2 weeks or 4 weeks a year? and you will take a week out of that? Or if I am working for a 2 year contract? How much plane ticket would it cost traveling overseas? How much plane ticket will cost if the chapter is located farther from our current city overseas? what if there is no Chapter in the current country?. If the PRC or IECEP can answer this properly and justify this then lay this out to the hard working Filipino donedeal Engineers, do not force us to learn but you encourage, that is what 1987 Constitution says!
I have heard that it’s more than 45 points I believe. I am sure for cisco trainings which specified the duration of the training e.g. if it is a 30 day training, then you will be given more or less 30 points. To be sure, please let the IECEP CPE council assess all your certificates and/or certifications, which are within donedeal the 3 year compliance period, by emailing them soft copies of your certification at their email address. You will receive feedback after 1-2 weeks detailing the number of CPE points you have gained and how much you will pay. Just try it now… Thanks
Nakakalungkot yung pagbaba ng CPE points for Advanced Degrees in Engineering. :( Hindi aabot sa 45 ang MS EE units sa UP + 20 upon completion. Yung sa thesis naman, ang manuscript nun considered as a monograph, pero due to its nature hindi ito pwedeng i-publish with ISBN kundi yung paper form nalang for conferences. donedeal :(
ok lang sa akin kung walang additional points ang pagpasa ko ng ccna.
I had attended a bootcamp for CCNA for 5 days and submitted the certificate of completion but they didn’t credit it. Also the CCNA certificate wasn’t credi
